Rayler and I had just got home from visiting Tyler at the FD. It was raining so I ran him inside first with the intent to run back out quickly to get the rest of our stuff. But I had no more set him down then he headed right back out the door into the rain. So I figured that since there was no lightning we might as well have a little fun. I made him stop to take his shoes off first and then we went to play in the rain.

This is SERIOUSLY fun Mom! (I adore this photo) |
And the we went over to play in the mud puddles. I thought his little cheeks were going to fall off from smiling so much! You'd have thought I'd told him that he could eat pizza for every meal from now on!
|
I sat him down, he looked at me like "Seriously? You're going to let me do this?" and plowed through like a maniac. |
|
He just face planted |
Then I rolled up my pants and chased him through the water. The blue house lady drove by and stopped to giggle at us. Me, sopping wet and looking like a drowned rat, chasing a very muddy and joyously shrieking raggamuffin through the puddles. I looked up just as I finished ruining my outfit by swinging him around in the air to see the neighbors two doors back watching us from their front door. They were laughing so hard. I just grinned and waved. And then Rayler took a nose dive in the big puddle. That one required a little brushing of gravel bits from little red hands and a quick hug.

His smile is as snaggly as if he was losing teeth. He has eight now. The two on the bottom are still the only ones that are fully in. |
He had been purple, pruney and chattering for a while but I couldn't convince him to go inside, and I didn't have the heart to make him, he was having so much fun. But then I guess he'd had enough.
We went inside and I drew him a hot bath. Then he had dinner and went straight to bed. What a fun night!

Freshly bathed and lotioned and just about to rub chicken nuggets in his hair. *sigh* |
