Happy Easter! |
Well, I'll start this post with TMI and Rayler's first diaper rash. I guess technically it was his second diaper rash because his first day in the NICU he got a little rash, but the nurse gave us some Aquafore and that was that for the rash. I swear by Aquafore now. But I have gotten a little lazy lately about using it, that and a combination of having to miss a couple diaper changes on both Sunday and Monday last gave him a wet exposure rash. Poor little guy. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday he spent roaming the house commando so we don't have many pictures for those days. Air, vinegar baths, and liberal Aquafore when he did need diapering did the trick. I didn't realize it until Thursday, but he didn't poop once during that time! And then on Thursday...
Poop explosion on my beige carpet! Of course, my carpet shampooer had a nervous breakdown a month or two ago so I instantly pulled up Pinterest, clicked to my "Life Made Easy For Momma" board, and got to work on that stain. A little baking soda, hot water, vinegar, clear dish soap and minimal elbow grease later...
No more poop stain! Thank you Jesus for Pinterest!
Now on to the fun stuff.
We got to take Rayler with us to Community Group this week. We usually leave him with Grandma Linda and Pa but he had fun interacting with Amos and Kennedy, until he got tired and it was kind of all down hill from there.
|
Amos: Here Rayler, let me show you how to drive this thing |
|
He thought Kennedy's doggies were hysterical! |
Bugs tried a
lot of new foods this week! He's getting really good at feeding himself. He still manages to drop some of it down in his seat, but more often than not he gets it all into his tummy.

I mixed cheerios into his cereal and let him feed himself |

Chicken and noodles |
I've lost track of all the new table foods Bugs ate this week, but I know he had Lemon chicken with red potatoes and green beans, avocado, blueberries, hotdog, cantaloupe, veggie crackers, mango, ham, turkey, chicken and noodles, rice, pasta alfredo, cheesy rice, and he had a teeny tiny taste of Daddy's favorite butterscotch pie. He does really well even though he still doesn't have teeth. He defiantly prefers table foods now and turns up his nose at pureed baby food. So far we have a non-picky eater, I hope he stays that way!
Daddy bought a fire pit this week! Yay! We got to roast hotdogs and sit outside around our very own little fire. It was marvelous!
We had Easter lunch at Uncle Marc and Aunt Bree's house.
