Wow! What a long and eventful day! We have been wanting to take Rayler to the zoo for a while. We noticed a while back that he really loves animals, so we knew he would love the zoo. So we set a date and then Tyler thought we ought to go to Bass Pro and see a baseball game while we were there. It made for a very long day, Rayler took 4 naps! But he did so well. And I snapped a ton of pictures to remember this wonderful day.
| Dada loaded him up with toys so he wouldn't be bored |
| Nap one on the way to the zoo |
| Are we there yet? |
| Where are we Dada? |
| Rayler was not terribly fond of this noisy guy.  |
| Looking at the waterfall |
| Rayler thought these guys were funny. Especially when they tried to nibble on his fingers and toes. |
| Look! It's George the giraffe! |
| Giggling at the baby giraffes antics |
| This guy was very interested in Rayler's lunch, and since he wasn't being noisy Rayler was quite interested in him. |
| Checking out the elephants before their bath time |
| Having a break in the shade |
| Elephant bath time! |
| I guess he couldn't see well enough from Dada's shoulders so he tried to climb the sign |
| Heading into nap two |
| And....he's out |
| He didn't even wake up when we laid him down in the stroller |
| We, ahem, went to, ah...a local establishment for lunch. :P Hey, they've got good food. |
| They gave him a balloon. Wow, we discovered that he LOVES balloons! |
| Good boy, he was only interested in his balloon. |
And then his balloon came off the string. He was most unhappy about it.
At our next stop we "lost" his balloon. I was afraid he would pop and choke on it.
| He was a very thirsty boy by the time we got to Bass Pro |
| Checking out the alligator gar  |
| He was craning around Tyler to see the fish while Tyler was buckling him in |
| Riding a 4-wheeler! |
| He started giggling as soon as he saw the grizzly |
| His face says it all. We drew a bit of a crowd. |
| Trying to climb the bear |
| He would not look at Tyler for a picture, he kept squirming back around to look at the bear |
| Checking out hunting stuff with Dada |
| This guy came over and followed Rayler around |
He hit nap three soon after this so Tyler and I took advantage of that by resting in some comfy recliner/rockers in the home decor section.
We headed over to the outlet store and while Tyler ran in Rayler took nap four. Well, it was a catnap really. And then we headed out to Hammons ball field.
| On our way to his first baseball game! |
| Waiting for the gates to open. Poor guy had been cooped up so much all day that he was desperate to get down. |
| Ahhhhhhhhhh! FINALLY they put me down! |
| Dada spotted a ball that someone missed picking up after batting practice.  |
| Thanks Dada! I love it! |
| A gust of wind went through right as I snapped this one.  That's why Rayler is making that funny face. |
| Louie! |
| It's someone's bedtime |
| So very sleepy |
| He was almost asleep, and then Chris Conley hit a homer and all that cheering woke him up |
| Don't worry, Uncle Leif and Aunt Holly had extra tickets so we didn't really steal someones seats. |
| Almost asleep... |
He finally fell asleep in the top of the eighth. Slept the whole way home. Had a few uncertain moments after we got him home and into bed, but he eventually settled in and then slept until 7 am! What a big, big day for the Bug.
